  3. Stone materials’ edges and angles are missed

Reason: there is no inspection or careless inspection when stones materials enter the construction site; during the transportation and storage, stone materials are bumped against; when stone materials are slotted and constructed, there is no cushion underneath and nothing is done to clean the stone materials; nuts inside the stone materials crack have not been taken out or stone materials’ edges and angles are damaged when nuts are taken out.

Measures: making strict inspection of stone materials entered the construction site; pay attention to the protection of finished products during transportation and storage; put cushion underneath stone materials during slotting and construction; adopt hard wood block as the cushion block and take it out on time after DEMAX curing.

  4. Stone materials has such defects as chromatic aberration, hidden cracks, colour stripes and so on

Reason: no careful inspection made when materials enter the construction site, and no plate layout before installation

Measures: making strict inspection of stone materials entered the construction site, reject these plates exceeding the standard requirements; making plate layout before installation and reject these stone materials with serious chromatic aberration.

  5. Too wide slot or too small distance between slot and the edge of plate

Reason: explanation is not detailed, constructors have low consciousness for quality

Measures: before installation, making technical pre-explanation of construction, controlling the slot width within the range of 6~7mm.

  6. The effective length of slot is too short, anchoring depth is not enough

Measures: making technical pre-explanation of construction, ensuring the effective length of arc-shaped slot shorter than 80mm. In general, the length of pothook is 10~12mm.

  7. The limestone on the mouth of slot has not been cleaned up

Measures: before impregnating the adhesive, the limestone on the mouth of slot should be cleaned up.

  8. Adhesive impregnated into the mouth of notch is not enough

Measures: DEMAX should be impregnated fully and QC should make strict inspection into it.

  9. The installation finished surface of the stone materials is uneven, perpendicularity can not meet the requirement

Reason: steel wire and fishing thread are not used in stone materials construction

Measures: before installing the stone materials on the wall, vertical steel wire and transverse fishing thread should be set according to blueprint to control the flatness of plates and the width of slob joint.

  11. The width of slob joint is different, which can not meet the design requirements

Reason: improper operation; the adhesive is not suitable to be used for stone materials

Measures: enhance constructors’ protection consciousness toward finished products; construction on plates should be done before large scale construction and after making sure there is no contamination, construction can be done.
